2026 Renault Twingo Electric

After its reveal in the fall of 2025, the Renault Twingo E-Tech electric enters a decisive phase of its commercial launch.

The year 2026 promises to be particularly intense for Renault’s electric city car, which is set to take center stage through a series of public, media, and cultural events organized by the manufacturer.

For Renault, this new 100% electric Twingo represents a strategic model. It aims to strengthen the brand’s presence in the electric A segment, in a context where the electrification of urban mobility is becoming a major issue in Europe.

The launch will kick off as early as January with a first public exhibition at the Brussels Motor Show, scheduled from January 9 to 18, 2026. At the Renault stand, the Twingo E-Tech electric will be showcased alongside the highly anticipated new Clio, the Renault 4 E-Tech electric, and the Renault 5 E-Tech electric. Visitors will be able to discover its main functional advantages: interior modularity, independent sliding rear seats, a trunk that can reach 360 liters, and a foldable front seat back for transporting long objects.

This first presentation will also be an opportunity to highlight the “Twingomania” program. Around the Renault electric Twingo, six electric mobility objects developed by European start-ups will illustrate a broad and sustainable approach to mobility. These creations incorporate several aesthetic codes of the model while combining design, practicality, and urban use.

Soon the first tests!

In the spring, the Twingo E-Tech electric will be handed over to journalists during the international press tests. These sessions will allow us to evaluate its technical performance derived from the AmpR Small platform, featuring a 60 kW (82 hp) engine, a 27.5 kWh LFP battery, and an announced range of 263 km according to the WLTP cycle.

Meanwhile, Renault will ensure strong public visibility. The Renault electric city car will be showcased at the Renault parade on the Champs-Élysées in Paris as part of the Twingo Expo, before being honored at the Twingo Festival in June. It will also be part of the brand’s presence at the Roland-Garros French Open, where Renault is a premium partner.
