Renault offers leases on the Scenic!

On paper, you will be able to drive a Scenic for 2 months without paying, but is the offer really attractive?

Renault is offering the Scenic 170 hp Comfort Range entry-level model starting at 300 euros per month. This is a Long-Term Rental offer over 37 months with an initial payment of 5,000 euros after deducting the ecological bonus. Renault announces 3,500 euros, but for that, you need to benefit from the trade-in bonus, meaning you must have an old vehicle to exchange. A vehicle worth less than 1,500 euros, the amount of the bonus, thus making it a glitch in the matrix. Let’s assume only the ecological bonus of 4,000 euros. Renault already offers a charging station with all its new electric vehicles. That’s always a few hundred euros in your pocket if you are not equipped yet. 3 years of warranty, 24/7 assistance, and maintenance included for just 1 euro per month, of course, we’ll take it.

At the end of the 37 months of rental, you will have paid 15,800 euros for a vehicle listed at a catalog price of 35,990 euros after deducting the ecological bonus, which is 44% of its value. No traps, it’s a good offer as it remains below its depreciation after 3 years. But Renault goes further by offering you the 2nd and 3rd months of rent, which amounts to… 600 euros. A nice gift? A quick look at the calculator reveals that it is 1.66% of its value. So it’s better than nothing, but it’s not far from being nothing. It’s better to negotiate directly with your preferred dealer; you’ll get much better on a vehicle in stock or a demonstration vehicle!
