Renault Changes Its Prices: No Gifts for Christmas

Months follow one after another at Renault with new price increases, here for the Twingo, electric Megane, and ZOE.

It’s challenging for dealers, but also for specialized journalists, to keep up with the pace of these increases. Not of power outputs or autonomy, but mainly of prices. Indeed, Renault and Dacia offset rising production costs by increasing the prices of their models and thus protecting their margins. Special mention to group’s electrified cars under the diamond badge, whose battery prices have been continuously rising since the Russia/Ukraine conflict.

Renault Twingo: price up by €1,200 to €1,400

Sold starting at €24,050 (excluding bonuses) in early November, the Renault Twingo E-Tech Electric now begins at €25,250 (excluding bonuses) and even reaches €27,650 (excluding bonuses) in the top-tier Urban Night finish. Since the beginning of the year, this city car has increased in price by €3,300.

The Renault Zoe rises by €3,000 in less than a year

Before the price hike, the best-selling electric started at €33,700 (excluding bonuses). Today, the minimum is €35,100 (excluding bonuses), and the top-tier Iconic trim reaches up to €38,300 (excluding bonuses). That’s a €3,100 increase since the start of the year.

Renault Megane Electric: the price of inflation

Since last year, the star of electric sedans has remained stable, but is catching up for the holidays, with a nice €39,000 for the EV40 version with a small battery. At the top of the range, the Iconic EV60 version with optimal charging climbs to €48,500. That’s up to €2,300 in increases.

The prices of hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions are also affected. Specifically, the Renault Clio E-Tech full hybrid now starts at €23,050 (up from €22,350), the Renault Captur E-Tech hybrid Plug-In is sold for €37,950 (up from €36,950)…
