Polestar customers can now experience the virtual Polestar 5 GT Performance before the real model.
Professional drivers spend hours on simulators to develop their race cars, but this is a first for a production vehicle: Polestar is offering its customers the chance to try the Polestar 5 GT Performance directly in its dealerships on Gran Turismo 7. Since December 4, the Swedish high-performance GT has been available in the famous racing game, thanks to the collaboration between Polestar and Polyphony Digital, providing a virtual driving experience that’s true to life.
Future customers can thus test the vehicle in certain Polestar Spaces, while waiting for actual test drives to be offered starting mid-2026.
When Simulation Meets Reality
The integration into Gran Turismo 7 required meticulous work to accurately reproduce the vehicle’s dynamic qualities: a motor up to 650 kW, torque of 1,015 Nm, and 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds for the Performance version. With its glued aluminum platform and four doors, the Polestar 5 combines comfort with sensations worthy of a GT.
Visitors to Polestar Spaces will be able to participate in local time trials, while all players will have access to a global challenge on the virtual Brands Hatch circuit. The winner will receive a trip to Fukuoka, Japan, to attend the 2025 GT World Series grand finale.
