Only 11 MG4 XPOWER units left available in France

MG has decided to maintain its prices in France until the end of the year despite the new customs fees. However, stocks are depleting.

October 4th was certainly not the best day for MG since its revival. The European Commission has officially implemented additional customs fees applied to all electric vehicles imported from China. Far from being surprised, MG reacted immediately and confirmed its intention not to raise prices in France. This is an achievement considering there is a tax of over 35%!

The Sino-British manufacturer had anticipated this inevitable decision and stocked up on new vehicles. These precautions allow it to keep electric car sales afloat while now favoring the hybrid path with the MG3 and ZS. Because while they are electrified, and even more electric than thermal models at MG, and allow for daily driving in 100% electric mode, hybrid models are not subject to extra taxes!

But every day the stocks of electric vehicles are dwindling rapidly, and one of the most sought-after models is of course the explosive MG4 XPOWER. We no longer need to introduce this model. With a sporty makeover, this sensible sedan goes brutal with 435 horsepower and 600 Nm. A beautiful beast for Drag Racing that is anything but ridiculous on the track thanks to well-tuned suspension, impressive acceleration, and above all an all-wheel drive that gives it a devilish behavior.

Thanks to MG’s generous €5,000 boost, the MG4 XPOWER is still available in Dover White for only €35,490 or in the few remaining colors for an additional €650. Unless MG has a few more models up its sleeve, we can assure, with little risk of being mistaken, that there won’t be enough for everyone.
