DS N°8

DS Automobiles unveils its first exclusively electric model, the DS N°8, a premium SUV Coupé.

Inspired by the DS AERO SPORT LOUNGE concept, this creation marks a new era for the brand. With a charismatic design, exceptional range, and top-tier comfort, the DS N°8 aims for nothing less than a leading position in its category. Finally, a French car capable of competing with the best German creations? That was originally DS’s challenge, but some missteps such as a sporty compact range or entry-level models unworthy of their prices have somewhat undermined it. The N°8, therefore, better be much more than just a number!

With aerodynamic design refined in every detail, rewarded by a Cx of 0.24, the DS N°8 boasts a combined WLTP range of 750 km and over 500 km on highways. Two batteries are available: a 74 kWh for the front-wheel drive version at 230 hp, and a 97.2 kWh for the Long Range front-wheel drive version at 245 hp, and a four-wheel drive Long Range version at 350 hp. The latter, the most powerful, equipped with two electric motors and all-wheel drive, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds. DC fast charging at 200 kW, without breaking records, allows charging from 20% to 80% in less than 30 minutes, a crucial feature for a car with a likely high price.

Made in France, the DS N°8 highlights the technological expertise of the Stellantis Group. Its NMC batteries are produced by ACC in Billy-Berclau Douvrin (Pas-de-Calais), while the electric motor is designed and assembled in Trémery (Moselle) by Emotors, a group joint venture.

The interior of the DS N°8 embodies a new French Art of travel, blending luxury, innovation, and connectivity. Its X-shaped steering wheel, inspired by the latest concepts from the brand, offers a redesigned ergonomics for enhanced driving pleasure. Handling may not be straightforward, but visually it reflects a bit of that madness that made the DS logo renowned, balancing a fixed hub and a single-spoke steering wheel.

With dynamic performance and an optimized consumption of 12.9 kWh/100 km, the DS N°8 embodies DS Automobiles’ vision for elegant and high-performing electric mobility. Just what we expected from the upscale little sister of Citroën… Launch scheduled for mid-2025 in Europe.
