MG4 XPOWER Sets a New Speed Record (Video)

The sporty version of the MG4, called XPOWER, set a new record at the Formula 1 circuit of the Red Bull Ring.

This MG4 XPOWER is a real game-changer. Priced at 35,490 euros (after €5,000 MG customer discount), it offers 435 horsepower, acceleration to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, and all-wheel drive.

These features give it the edge to claim a “Super GTI” status against thermal counterparts, but also set speed records. A new record was established on April 10th at the Austrian Formula 1 circuit, the Red Bull Ring, by driver Patrick Friesacher.

A bailiff present for the record verified the new mark for a series electric vehicle on this track, with a time of 1’56”414.
