MG Cyberster GTS

After the launch of the Cyberster roadster in 2024, MG continues the expansion of its zero-emission sports lineup with the Coupé version.

The British manufacturer, now under Chinese ownership, has just confirmed the production of the Cyber GTS, an elegant 2+2 coupe introduced in 2024 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed as a prototype. Sales will begin in late 2025, coinciding with the 60th anniversary of the MG B GT, which shares some design cues.
The coupe retains the dynamic lines and gullwing doors of its convertible sibling, but adopts a fixed roof inspired by the Jaguar F-Type. This new 2+2 body offers a compromise between sportiness and practicality, without betraying the original spirit.

A very limited release?

On the technical side, MG has not yet detailed the final specifications, but it’s likely that the GTS will adopt the same powertrain options as the Cyberster: a rear-wheel-drive version with 340 horsepower and an all-wheel-drive version developing 510 horsepower, powered by batteries of 64 or 77 kWh (only the latter available in Europe). An optimized range is also expected. The reduced weight of the Coupé and its more refined aerodynamics should benefit the range, which varies from 443 to 507 km in the roadster version.

Perhaps the most enticing information concerns the pricing. While the convertible starts at 62,990 euros for the two-wheel-drive version, the coupe could be even more affordable. Moreover, for a similarly equipped internal combustion model, the price of this MG Cyberster GTS would be lower than the sole ecological tax of 70,000 euros. Food for thought.

That said, the Cyberster roadster still struggles to find its audience, particularly in France where encountering one on the road remains as rare as spotting a unicorn.
