Electric Mercedes Class C: Just as Composed on the Outside as Badass on the Inside!
The new Mercedes Electric C-Class is set to become a major player in the compact premium sedan segment.
Faithful to the spirit of the C-Class – elegant, comfortable, and versatile – the 2026 iteration moves to electric on the MB.EA platform with 800 volts while retaining a familiar and reassuring silhouette.

Externally, it adopts a fluid line similar to a coupe, with an athletic rear and a signature EQ closed grille that is illuminated. Inside, the cabin focuses on premium quality with refined materials (including vegan options), careful acoustic comfort, and a “Welcome Home” ambiance typical of Mercedes. The SKY CONTROL panoramic roof can project up to 162 customizable stars according to the ambient lighting.
The real technological leap lies in the driver’s seat. The optional 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen spans the entire width of the dashboard, providing an immersive and fluid interface. The MB.OS operating system, equipped with generative AI, allows for natural conversations with the virtual assistant, regular over-the-air updates, and intelligent electric navigation that integrates real-time data.
Technology Serving the C-Class
On the chassis side, the electric C-Class promises balanced road behavior: agile thanks to rear axle steering (up to 4.5 degrees) and comfortable over long distances with the AIRMATIC air suspension and its predictive damping. The multi-source heat pump enhances efficiency in winter by quickly heating the cabin while consuming less energy.

The claimed range reaches up to 760 km WLTP according to preliminary data from the manufacturer, thanks to optimized aerodynamics, a 94.5 kWh battery, and powerful energy recovery (up to 300 kW). The 800-volt fast charging allows recovering approximately 325 km in 10 minutes. The sedan also offers a frunk of 101 liters and an interesting towing capacity for the segment.

Safety, versatility, and long-distance comfort remain priorities, with the latest Mercedes assistance systems (DISTRONIC, PRE-SAFE, etc.). Positioned between thermal/hybrid models and larger EQ models, this electric C-Class aims to attract loyal sedan customers while guiding them towards electrification.
