Mercedes-Benz EQT Marco Polo: A Future Small Electric Camper Van

Familiar with thermal models, the range of van conversions is about to expand to the Mercedes-Benz EQT.

In the history of great journeys, the mention of Marco Polo is unavoidable. At Mercedes-Benz, it’s the name given to the camper van models derived from its vans. An initiative originally launched on internal combustion vehicles, but gradually coming to electric models, with the EQT.

The EQT, an Electric T-Class for Adventure

To recap, the Mercedes-Benz EQT is the 100% electric version of the T-Class, the brand’s compact LCV. It is also known as Citan in utility van form, or eCitan in electric. It is the new generation Mercedes utility vehicle Citan, which has not been available for private buyers, sharing the base with the Renault Kangoo. In short, the EQT is an electric Kangoo E-Tech, with a specific body style.

The Mercedes-Benz EQT will follow in the footsteps of its thermal counterparts, the Classe V (the big brother of the T-Class). Contrary to what was announced in January, it is indeed the one, not the EQV (the electric Classe V), that will bear the Marco Polo badge. It will first be shown as a concept car, with series production ideally starting in 2023.

When will the Mercedes-Benz EQT Marco Polo be revealed?

No visuals yet, only a photo from the manufacturer showing an empty space reserved for the Mercedes EQT Marco Polo concept. We do know it will closely resemble the Mercedes EQT concept, with special modifications.

Answer coming December 2nd, during the unveiling of this prototype. And it will of course be on Mobiwisy!
