Lexus reveals the prices of the electric SUV RZ in France

Lexus France announces the opening of online reservations for the new RZ, its 100% electric SUV with an atypical driving experience.

Initially launched in 2023 as the brand’s first dedicated electric model, the RZ here benefits from a major evolution aimed at improving performance, energy efficiency, and driving enjoyment, while expanding its lineup with a sportier version, the RZ 550e F SPORT.

Based on Toyota’s e-TNGA platform, the new RZ adopts a battery rated at 77 kWh, paired with powertrains whose output now ranges from 224 to 408 hp. According to Lexus, these developments allow for a range of up to 559 km in the WLTP mixed cycle, while also reducing charging times thanks to revised thermal and electronic management. The RZ comes in three versions: RZ 350e Luxe with front-wheel drive, RZ 500e Executive with all-wheel drive, and the new RZ 550e F SPORT, also with all-wheel drive.

The right direction?

Lexus opts for an aggressive pricing strategy for a premium electric model. The new Lexus RZ is available in three versions:

• 350e Luxe (224 hp, front-wheel drive): €61,000
• 500e Executive (381 hp, all-wheel drive): €78,500
• 550e F SPORT (408 hp, all-wheel drive): €80,500

Competitive prices that place the new RZ at similar price points to the Lexus NX hybrid. It is an intentional strategy to facilitate the transition to electric for its traditional customer base.

From a technological standpoint, the RZ confirms its role as a showcase for Lexus. The 500e and 550e versions debut with fully “steer-by-wire” steering, paired with a nearly rectangular steering wheel design. This system without direct mechanical linkage promises a faster response and improved handling. The RZ 550e F SPORT also introduces the Interactive Manual Drive, a device that simulates the operation and sensations of a manual transmission in an electric vehicle.

Finally, Lexus will accompany the launch with a relational initiative: the first five customers reserving a RZ 500e Executive or 550e F SPORT will receive an exclusive immersive day, scheduled for the first half of 2026. Reservations are already open on the official Lexus France website.
