The new Renault Kangoo Van E-Tech arrives on the market

Presented at the end of last year, the new electric Kangoo is now available for order. Prices start at €33,600 before incentives.

Equipped with a 45 kWh battery, the Kangoo Van E-Tech has an estimated range of 300 km in the WLTP cycle. Its motor delivers 90 kW (122 hp) and 245 Nm of torque.

The driver can choose between three levels of regenerative braking intensity. They can also activate an Eco mode to conserve battery life. However, this mode is not recommended if the vehicle is fully loaded.

Several Types of Chargers Available

Renault offers two onboard chargers: one of 11 kW and another of 22 kW. Those opting for the 22 kW charger can also benefit from DC fast charging at 80 kW, available for an additional €1,200. According to Renault, this allows increasing the range by 70 km in 30 minutes on suitable chargers. Without fast charging, it takes 6 hours to go from 15% to 80% charge on an 11 kW station. With a 22 kW installation, charging time drops to 2 hours and 40 minutes.

Regarding trims, the Kangoo Van E-Tech range includes two levels: Grand Confort and Extra. On each, the “Sésame ouvre-toi” option adds €1,000. It provides a side opening of 1.45 meters by removing the middle foot section.

In the standard Grand Confort configuration, the Kangoo Van E-Tech includes a cruise control / speed limiter, an 8″ touchscreen, automatic air conditioning, electric and defrosting exterior mirrors, and a right-side sliding door. A 12-volt socket in the storage area is also included as standard.

The Extra trim adds a traffic sign recognition system, a rearview camera, a hands-free system, and built-in navigation. The mirrors also become electrically foldable.
