Kia EV4

Kia France has just announced the opening of orders for the EV4, its very first 100% electric sedan.

Produced in Slovakia at the Žilina plant powered by renewable electricity, the 5-door version of the EV4 expands the brand’s electric range alongside the SUV EV3. It will also be available in a 4-door Fastback version, assembled in South Korea.

Positioned in the C segment, the Kia EV4 aims to be both innovative and accessible. Two battery configurations are offered: a Standard Range version (58.3 kWh) starting at €38,290, and a Long Range version (81.4 kWh) starting at €42,890. Both are eligible for the “Coup de Pouce Mobilité Electrique” subsidy from CertiNergy SAS for a maximum amount of €4,200. The Fastback is priced at €42,290 and €46,890 depending on the chosen battery.

The EV4 promises up to 625 km of range (WLTP cycle) in its Long version, and up to 633 km for the Fastback, making it one of the best performers in its category. With a fast charging capability of 10 to 80% in 31 minutes, it adapts well to long-distance trips. It is also compatible with V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) and V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) functions, allowing the reinjection of electricity into the grid or powering devices.

On a technical level, the EV4 is based on the E-GMP platform and features a front motor of 150 kW (204 hp). It can reach speeds of 170 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 7 seconds. Its aerodynamics (Cx of 0.23), silicon carbide inverter, and optimized design ensure a good balance between performance and efficiency.
