Hyundai will showcase Art Cars in New York’s landmarks to support Busan’s bid for the 2030 Universal Exposition

Hyundai Motor Group announced today the organization of an exhibition and a parade of 20 Art Cars through the streets of New York to support the South Korean city of Busan’s bid to host the 2030 Universal Exposition.

Colorful Displays

The Group will present a fleet of Art Cars composed of several Hyundai IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 100% electric vehicles, as well as Electrified G80 sedans from the premium Genesis brand. These vehicles, decorated with vibrant graffiti created by renowned Korean artist ‘JAY FLOW’, symbolize the icons of the South Korean city under the slogan ‘BUSAN is Ready’.

This parade of Art Cars will take place from September 17 to 22. The Group plans to display these Art Cars at Genesis House New York, located in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, as well as near several iconic New York sites such as Times Square.

Hyundai and Street Art in Motion

This initiative follows the presentation of the Art Cars in Jakarta, Indonesia, and New Delhi, India, during events held last week alongside the G20.

Hyundai has also released over 80 content pieces, including short videos and infographics aimed at social media, to promote Busan as the ideal host city. Two series of promotional videos, created in collaboration with Busan residents and foreign residents in Korea, have notably reached over 100 million views worldwide three months after their June launch.
