Hyundai teases its new “N”

Hyundai has unveiled the first images of the high-performance version of its electric sedan IONIQ 6.

This Hyundai IONIQ 6 N marks a new step in the development of the Korean manufacturer’s N sports range. This model follows the IONIQ 5 N, the first fully electric vehicle to bear the N emblem, launched as part of the brand’s transition towards a performance offering suited for electromobility.

Since the introduction of the N and N Line range seven years ago, Hyundai has gradually expanded its expertise in the field of sports vehicles. The N version of the IONIQ 5 has allowed the brand to establish itself in this segment, leading to several increasingly exciting variants, including the diabolical IONIQ 5 TA Spec from Pikes Peak.

An N that means Energized

With the IONIQ 6 N, Hyundai continues this strategy. The first official images show a performance-oriented design, with widened fenders, a more pronounced rear spoiler, and a generally wider stance. These elements have been designed to improve stability at high speeds while retaining the instantly recognizable lines of the base model.

The manufacturer indicates that this version retains the three key principles of the N division: agility in corners, suitability for circuit driving, and everyday comfort. The IONIQ 6 N is also expected to benefit from an overall weight reduction with some touches of carbon and lightweight alloy wheels, contributing to better road handling.

No detailed technical information has been revealed yet, but the brand suggests that the IONIQ 6 N will bring a new approach to electric sportiness. Its complete presentation is expected in the coming months.
