Hyundai IONIQ 9: The Electric Giant Arrives in France

Hyundai expands its range of electric vehicles with the IONIQ 9, a 100% electric SUV with three rows of seats.

The Hyundai IONIQ 9 stands out for its futuristic design and advanced technologies. This new flagship from the Korean manufacturer aims to redefine the standards of the large zero-emission SUV segment.

The vehicle will be marketed in France starting from mid-2025. This model adds to the brand’s electrified range, following the IONIQ 5 and 6, with a strong focus on comfort, space, and technology.

Basing itself on the E-GMP platform, the IONIQ 9 incorporates a 110.3 kWh battery, allowing for up to 620 kilometers of range (according to the WLTP cycle and rear-wheel drive configuration with 19-inch wheels). Three versions are offered: a rear-wheel drive version (160 kW), an all-wheel drive version (313 hp), and a Performance variant (435 hp) capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. The 800 V charging system allows for a charge from 10 to 80% in 24 minutes on a fast charger.

Passengers in the Spotlight at Hyundai

The interior is designed to be spacious and modular, with a configuration for six or seven passengers, reclining and rotating seats, a sliding center console, and a trunk volume of up to 1,323 liters. Thermal comfort is ensured by a heat pump and preconditioning system. The interior ambiance is inspired by lounges, featuring premium materials, enhanced operating silence, and a BOSE audio system with 14 speakers.

The IONIQ 9 also offers a range of connected technologies: intelligent voice assistant, downloadable on-demand functions, route planner for electric vehicles, bidirectional charging V2L, and remote software updates. Numerous driver assistance systems (ADAS) complement the equipment.

The Hyundai IONIQ 9 is offered from the entry-level CREATIVE trim with a rich standard equipment. However, one must be ready to spend 70,000 euros. The 6-seater version, on the other hand, is only offered in the most exclusive trim, called CALLIGRAPHY, for a price approaching 90,000 euros! The price of a certain idea of travel.
