Here is the electric Porsche Cayenne!
Porsche offers us a first glimpse of the future 100% electric Cayenne, with development prototypes already in action.
Porsche has therefore confirmed what has long been no secret, the fourth-generation Cayenne will be offered in a fully electric version. Based on the 800V PPE platform, this model will play a major role in Porsche’s electrification plan.

Complete failure is not allowed, even though the manufacturer is not giving up on internal combustion engines as Porsche has taken this opportunity to ensure that the Cayenne will be offered with three powertrains until 2030 and beyond. Therefore, fourth-generation electric versions will coexist on the roads with restyled third-generation hybrid and gasoline models. Diesel is buried for good, and honestly, no one will miss it!
An energy mix to avoid upsetting customers
For more than 20 years, the Cayenne has managed to combine the performance characteristics of a Porsche with real off-road driving capabilities. Having become the favorite tool of wealthy fathers, its career is pivoting towards a forced rather than desired electrification. “The Cayenne has always defined the sports car in its segment. Mid-decade, the fourth generation will set standards in the electric SUV segment,” assures Oliver Blume, CEO of Porsche AG. “At the same time, during the next decade, our customers will still be able to choose from a wide range of powerful and efficient thermal and hybrid models. The third generation of the Cayenne will be further enhanced and will continue to be offered alongside the fourth generation, fully electric.”

Some technical elements, such as active cooling air flaps, are visible under the camouflage. They are similar to those found on the new 911 Carrera GTS, the first road-legal hybrid 911 from Porsche. The Porsche Cayenne Electric is expected to make its official debut in 2026. Before that, Porsche plans to launch an electric 718 model, the successor to the Cayman.
