Cybertruck Robotruck

Just introduced, not yet on the market, Tesla’s Cybertruck is already being imitated. Meet the Aitexk Robotruck!

Visitors to the Los Angeles Expo were certainly expecting to see the Tesla Cybertruck, but around a small stand down a corridor, they must have wondered what had happened to the highly anticipated pickup.

Let’s be honest, we had never heard of Aitekx before. A quick visit to their website, unfortunately full of mistakes, allowed us to gauge the incredible ambitions of this young company and to discover their flagship product, the Robotruck. Yes, it obviously bears some resemblance, quite a lot actually, to Tesla’s latest model. So, optimism or realism?

For its Robotruck, a sort of less-than-quarter Cybertruck, the “manufacturer” leans resolutely towards optimism with an EPA range of 550 miles (885 km), 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, and a top speed of 125 mph, or 200 km/h. These figures are enough to make us lean towards skepticism, as it would simply be better than a Cybertruck in every respect. The lack of communication about the battery, the weight of the vehicle, and its motorization reinforce this impression. The dimensions are slightly smaller than those of the Cybertruck.

Aitekx claims that the presented prototype is operational and has already undergone several testing sessions. Still, we await a video to confirm this. The adjustments and finishes are somewhat rough, but Tesla’s first prototypes were not much better in this regard either.

This experiment is unlikely to have any follow-up, but who knows. If the vehicle is released as planned in 2025 at the announced price of $40,000, you can say you were in the know.
