Unusual: The Electric GMC Hummer Wrapped in Kevlar

South Florida Customs customizer has completely transformed the fully electric GMC Hummer EV by covering it entirely with kevlar.

There’s no denying that the GMC Hummer EV is a vehicle of extremes. With 1,000 horsepower, a weight of 4,111 kg, and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 3 seconds. An impressive technical sheet for a machine that emits no grams of CO2 thanks to its electric motors. However,South Florida Customs has managed to take the super SUV a step further by covering the entire exterior in Kevlar.

A Hummer EV that now costs over €206,000

SoFlo Strikeforce, the modified Hummer EV costs €206,000. For those who have already spent a minimum of €103,702 on a Hummer EV Edition 1, SoFlo states that you can bring your vehicle to be transformed into Strikeforce.

The highlight of this conversion is the “Army Green” exterior coating, made in three parts. It consists of epoxy fused with Kevlar fibers. It is not specified whether this coating offers the Hummer bullet protection. However, it is mentioned that it helps defend the truck against “off-road projectiles.” Other upgrades include a 4-inch lifted suspension, massive 38-inch tires, and new 20-inch wheels. These are said to work with the clever “CrabWalk” function of the Hummer EV.

An upcoming version with a armored windshield

The modifications are not limited to the exterior. New marine-grade brown and black coatings protect the interior from the elements when the roof panels are removed. For future versions of the Strikeforce, SoFlo is planning even more equipment for its vehicle. An armored windshield will be added, as well as a “slantback” truck bed cover and a bumper guard. All designed to reinforce the already military look of the current version.
