Vehicles produced in Europe by Ford benefit from a boost in the “Coup de Pouce” EU bonus.
Since October 1, 2025, Ford France has confirmed that several of its electric models are now eligible for increased amounts of the “Coup de Pouce” EU bonus, a subsidy managed by ADEME aimed at encouraging energy transition. This update concerns vehicles with batteries produced in Europe, to promote a local industrial supply chain.
The scheme allows electric vehicle buyers to receive aid ranging from €4,400 to €6,100, depending on their situation:
- €4,400 for households with no income restrictions,
- €5,500 for modest-income households,
- €6,100 for households in energy hardship.
These amounts apply to the purchase or long-term lease of 100% electric vehicles, in addition to other existing support measures.
Several Ford models affected
The Ford models eligible for this bonus include:
- the Puma Gen-E, a new electric SUV manufactured in Europe,
- the Ford Explorer Extended Range (RWD 204 hp, RWD 286 hp, and AWD 340 hp),
- the Ford Capri Extended Range (RWD 286 hp and AWD 340 hp),
- the E-Tourneo Courier, across all its variants.
To simplify the procedures for individuals, Ford France states that it is working with SIPLEC and its network of dealerships to handle administrative steps related to the bonus. The aid amount can be directly integrated into the financing or paid directly to the customer.

This increase in the EU bonuses is part of public policies aimed at supporting European manufacturing and accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in the French market. The fact that it benefits models from a European manufacturer might seem somewhat unusual, but Ford deserves credit for participating in localized production. And a little extra help is well deserved!
