Fisker: A New Competitor for Tesla?

This Thursday, August 3rd, Fisker revealed two new electric vehicles in a live stream on YouTube.

The American manufacturer was founded in 2016 by Henrik Fisker. The first SUV, the Fisker Ocean, was released a few months ago now. Yesterday, the American company announced the release of two new vehicles. These new offerings may compete with the Tesla giant in the future.

Fisker Pear

For this vehicle, the brand’s director demonstrated live that the vehicle can seat up to 6 people. The Pear starts at a price of $29,900, which is a little over €27,000.

The Ronin

This will likely be Fisker’s main competitor to Tesla’s Roadster. The Ronin made an appearance during the presentation. The brand announced that it could have a range of nearly 1,000 km and accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h (60 mph) in just two seconds. The vehicle will also probably be produced in a limited edition, with a very high price. No release date has been announced yet.

The Alaska Pick-Up

Finally, the flagship of this event was the brand’s electric pickup, the Alaska. Few details were disclosed by the manufacturer, but the range is estimated to be around at least 370 km. As for its price, it will be launched at $45,400, approximately €41,200.
