Fiat Panda and 600: Two New Electric Models Coming Soon?

Building on its benefits, the CEO of Stellantis confirms two new electric Fiat cars, which would be the Panda and 600.

This week, Stellantis news revolves around record profits and bonuses for employees. However, what interests us at Mobiwisy is what the automotive group is planning for the coming years. Specifically, regarding this, CEO Carlos Tavares confirmed that two new Fiat electric vehicles will be unveiled in the upcoming months.

An electric Fiat Panda based on the 208?

Similar to the Opel Corsa in 2020, the new small Fiat city car would be based on the Peugeot 208 platform. Powered by internal combustion engines, the electric Panda or Punto (name to be confirmed) will also have a 100% electric version. With a 5-door body only and about 4 meters long, the style could be inspired by the 2019 Cientoventi concept.

Technically, no originality is possible, as Stellantis only has the 115 kW (156 hp) motor and 54 kWh battery. The electric Fiat Panda would still have nearly 400 km of range, and aim for a price of €33,000. Its competitors will be the Renault ZOE or MG4.

A Fiat 600e cousin of Citroën?

The second model from the Italian brand is expected to be a compact SUV. Similar to the current 500X, but smaller (about 4.10 m), the base for this car seems to be the Jeep Avenger — and therefore the DS3 E-Tense. This hypothetical electric Fiat 600 would therefore share the 115 kW motor and 54 kWh battery, generating about 400 km of range.

The price should be around €35,000 to €40,000. This considers the premium dimension of the 500, which already costs over €30,000 base with a small 24 kWh battery. A petrol version is possible with a 48V micro-hybrid engine, but not certain for France. Rivals of this electric Fiat 600 will include Hyundai Kona or Kia Niro.
