Electric family vehicles in the spotlight at Opel

The new Opel Combo Life Electric and Opel Zafira Electric target both family and professional customers.

Not a major revolution for these two Opel models, but subtle evolutions in style and technology to stay up-to-date. Depending on the configuration, the Combo can accommodate up to seven people and the Zafira up to nine. Enough to satisfy large families, but also transportation professionals ready to transition to full electric.

The most noticeable change for both models is at the front end, which has been completely redesigned to feature the brand’s new visual identity. For the first time, these two models showcase the bold new grille design Opel Vizor. Inside the cabin, which is fully digital, the driver and front passengers have access to intuitive infotainment systems with 10-inch color touchscreens based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Cockpit platform. Wireless smartphone connectivity and inductive charging are also available.

Overall, the new Combo Life Electric and Zafira Electric each offer up to 18 driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control with stop & go function and 180-degree rearview camera. The Intelli-Grip system with descent control improves traction in difficult conditions. Front and rear sensors, as well as side sensors and a blind-spot warning, facilitate maneuvering. Additional features such as driver attention alert, traffic sign recognition, lane-keeping assist, and forward collision warning with emergency braking round out the lineup.
