Dream Garage Alpine: Six Models to Challenge Porsche and Ferrari

The Dream Garage of Alpine promises a range of six electric sports models to compete with European benchmarks.

With its Dream Garage, Alpine no longer hides its ambitions. The French brand aims to build a genuine lineup of electric sports cars capable of competing with the European references in the segment. An appealing project… but the timeline is set to be particularly tight.

Alpine’s Dream Garage is set to ultimately bring together six models. Following the sporty city car A290 and the brand new fastback A390, the company plans to launch the future Alpine A110 electric, a roadster, a large four-seater coupe, and a larger SUV aimed at strengthening its international development. This marks a unique offensive in the history of the Dieppe manufacturer.

Alpine dreams big

The goal is clearly stated. Philippe Krief, the general manager of Alpine, recently explained to our colleagues at Autocar that the brand is more “on the side of Ferrari than Porsche” regarding volumes, asserting a strategy based on exclusivity and profitability rather than mass production. The ambition is thus to compete with major European sports cars while maintaining the identity and rarity that gives Alpine its charm.

Now the challenge is to turn this vision into reality. As of today, the third model of Alpine’s Dream Garage exists only as a development mule. Named A110 Future, the fully electric replacement for the current berlinette has just completed its first public runs at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. An important step, but it also shows that the project is still far from being finalized.
