But beyond the technical specifications, a more troubling question surely arises in Maranello. Because the SU7 Ultra starts at 60,000 euros. And it offers, on paper, performance close to what Ferrari is about to unveil for ten times the amount.

There lies the real issue. If Ferrari embraces its ultra-exclusive positioning, the price-performance ratio of Xiaomi could still give one pause. The Italian icon can always rely on its history, image, and know-how. But faced with such sharp challengers, it will need to explain why an electric Ferrari should cost a fortune.
