CUPRA Tavascan: Update and Price Drop for the Electric SUV

The electric coupe SUV Tavascan gains a new entry-level version, a modernized interior, and enhanced technologies.

The CUPRA Tavascan is undergoing significant changes with a range update announced for March 2026. The Spanish manufacturer CUPRA is introducing a new entry-level version while enhancing the onboard experience and integrating new technological features.

This evolution is part of the brand’s electrification strategy, with a model that retains its dynamic positioning and distinctive design. Production of the facelifted Tavascan is set to begin in the coming weeks, with initial deliveries expected after the summer of 2026.

The main new feature is the arrival of a 140 kW (190 hp) version paired with a 58 kWh battery. This configuration aims to make the model more accessible while offering an announced range of approximately 435 km. Fast charging allows for a 10 to 80% charge in nearly 26 minutes. This version complements the V (210 kW) and VZ/VZ Extreme (250 kW) versions, which are already positioned at higher performance levels.

A Fresh Look for the Tavascan

Inside, the update is noticeable with the introduction of a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit, larger than before. The infotainment system now runs on an Android base, providing extended access to applications and a more intuitive interface. The steering wheel also features physical buttons, while the smart air conditioning automatically adjusts airflow based on the occupants and external conditions.

The Tavascan also incorporates advanced digital features, such as a digital key that allows sharing access to the vehicle via smartphone, as well as automatic opening and locking functions. A smart card complements this system for occasional use.
