At 81,200 euros, the Cadillac LYRIQ arrives in France

The American brand is making its grand return to France with the launch of the 100% electric Cadillac LYRIQ.

Cadillac represents 120 years of history marked by luxury, innovation, and often excess. It seems that the LYRIQ has chosen to honor this prestigious heritage. A beloved brand of both American presidents and showbiz stars, it has successfully navigated through different eras and trends. However, in Europe, with the exception of a few Escalade SUVs, it had been quite discreet in recent years.

With electrification, the brand offers itself a new chance to shine in a segment it masters perfectly: the high-end market. The LYRIQ is the cornerstone on which this electric future in France is being built. A bold model, it stands out with a design and performance that aspire to the standards of a brand like Cadillac.

The Cadillac of Tomorrow

Built on General Motors’ latest generation Ultium platform, the LYRIQ boasts a range of 530 km on a full charge, making it suitable for a nice trip from Paris to Lyon. Its distinctive black grille and vertical lights confirm Cadillac’s identity under a rather classic yet appealing exterior.

The interior, however, is much more interesting, featuring a central point of an enormous 33-inch curved LED screen with no seams. It consists of three distinct sections: driving controls within easy reach, a dashboard that helps keep your eyes on the road, and infotainment features that can be shared with the front passenger. Since it’s a “Cad,” it comes equipped with a 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system, including in the headrest, along with active noise cancellation for outside disturbances.

Customers can order their LYRIQ in France starting March 23, directly through Cadillac’s new digital shopping platform. To be quite honest, at such a price, one wonders about its chances of success in France…
