Stop buying the full-price Renault Scenic, it’s now heavily discounted

After a long resistance, the Renault Scenic finally gives in to the game of big discounts, even once the ecological bonus drops to €2000.

The very last days of a year are always a golden opportunity to get good deals at dealerships. Salespeople want to meet their (high) annual targets and have a clear view of their situation. This opens the door to attractive discounts before shifting into the new model year.

At Renault, the reduction of the ecological bonus on electric cars is obviously very bad news, because all prices have mechanically been raised by €2000. Now, the Renault Scenic entry-level model 170 AUTONOMY CONFORT EVOLUTION 60 KWH starts at a base price of €39,990. With the 2025 ecological bonus of €2000 deducted, it drops to €37,990… before negotiation.

33,990 euros, the fair price?

The 2024 Car of the Year, the Renault Scenic is inherently a very successful and pragmatic vehicle. Its performance, driving enjoyment, highly refined suspension (electric cars are usually very uncomfortable because their suspension is locked due to their weight), and a more accessible price than a Tesla Model Y make it a reference.

Its appeal is all the greater when Renault dealers do not bother with the tedious game of negotiation. The example found here, new and already registered to benefit from the €4,000 bonus before it disappears, sets the example. Priced at €33,990, it’s barely more expensive than a Renault Megane with much lesser size and features.

By analyzing the offer, it becomes clear that the actual discount is €2000… in addition to the initial ecological bonus. That’s still something and it will now serve as legal precedent if you go to your local dealer.
