The historic German manufacturer BMW and the young sporty startup Rimac are developing high-voltage batteries.
The goal of the collaboration between BMW and Rimac is to co-develop and co-produce innovative solutions in the field of high-voltage battery technology. These units will be used in BMW’s upcoming range expected starting from 2025.
Even before the 2030 target, battery electric vehicles will account for more than half of BMW’s global vehicle sales. The German manufacturer brings to this partnership its expertise in batteries and electric propulsion systems accumulated over more than 15 years.
