Audi Q4 e-tron 2023: Software Update and Faster Charging

Audi updates its onboard software to modernize its Q4 e-tron and Q4 e-tron Sportback models.

The four-ring brand announced today that version 3.2 of the software will be rolled out to all its Q4 e-tron and e-tron Sportback models. It will be standard on all newly manufactured vehicles and on those from last year. Future vehicles will be able to receive subsequent updates via a wireless radio interface.

Mobiwisy’s editorial team had already conducted a test of the Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback in July 2022, awarding it a score of 14 out of 20. The car was comfortable, but some of its interior features left us wanting more. For a vehicle costing around €62,400, we weren’t entirely satisfied.

However, this onboard software update for the Audi Q4 e-tron might give the model introduced last year a new lease on life.

Audi Software Version 3.2

The Audi update includes the following features:

• Creation of a personalized profile in the vehicle;
• Ability to plan your route on your phone and transfer it to the vehicle’s software;
• Saving previous routes and navigation data is now possible;
• The myAudi app allows you to locate and monitor your car’s status;
• If your car breaks down or is involved in a collision, you can now use the online roadside assistance call with Audi’s damage repair service;
• You can now use 135 kW of energy to charge the car at a rapid charging station;
• An timer also allows you to preheat the vehicle while it is still plugged into a wall outlet or home charger.

These features on the Audi Q4 e-tron and e-tron Sportback will allow owners to travel with peace of mind. This is especially true for those who opt for the battery protection function, which automatically keeps the battery at an ideal charge level by limiting it to 80%.
