The Alpine A390_β to be unveiled soon

On October 11, 2024, Alpine will unveil the show car A390_β, which foreshadows the future electric Crossover of the brand with the arrow A.

So don’t get too excited; you won’t be able to place an order for an Alpine A390 on October 11, as it will only be a concept car. Alpine is thus following the blueprint used for the A290, with several stages leading up to the unveiling.

If you’re eager to get an idea of this highly anticipated second element of the 100% electric Dream Garage of Alpine, many prototypes have already been spotted during road tests, giving us a fairly precise idea of the vehicle’s design. Whether it’s a tall sedan or a coupe SUV, it’s up to you to decide since both options are trendy. But photos can tell different stories, and with the camouflage, we could even imagine a pickup with an aerodynamic bed. Alpine refers to it as a Sport Fastback, so let’s keep that in mind before the presentation.

The A390_β follows Alpine’s naming convention, which combines an A followed by three digits. The 3 refers to the vehicle size, the 90 to the brand’s versatile and everyday use vehicles, and _β indicates that it is a concept car. It is still early to know what will be under the hood, but it is already certain that there will be a sporty version with at least 400 hp and all-wheel drive.

After this presentation on Alpine’s media site, the A390_β will be exhibited for the first time worldwide at the Paris Motor Show. This is good news for the organizers, who can count on a new attraction. Alpine will also present the Alpenglow Hy6, the brand new version of its hydrogen-powered prototype, the A290, as well as… new examples of A110 customization. The berlinette, which single-handedly carries an entire brand on its shoulders, truly deserves recognition.
