At €33,990, what does the Volkswagen ID.3 Pure offer?

The ID.3 is now available in France starting at 33,990 euros, including the ecological bonus, in Pure version with the 52 kWh battery.

Launched in 2019, the VW ID.3 marked Volkswagen’s step forward in electrification. Unfortunately, the initial excitement quickly faded, as the car struggled to find its customers despite undeniable qualities. The price was certainly a factor.

Its facelift in 2023 corrected some youthful mistakes, such as its imperfect finish. Far from being a revolution on the outside, this update allowed a VW ID.3 that was awaited to get back on track. New materials were chosen, such as microfiber for the seats and a new foam plastic enhanced with stitching on the dashboard. And to follow the examples set by Volvo, no animal materials were used in the design of the ID.3.

Ultimately, the ID.3 was missing a base model to hope for a successful career, which is now accomplished.

Below the psychological barrier of 35,000 euros.

The ID.3 in Pure version with its 52 kWh net battery is now open for orders and represents the entry-level model. This 170 hp version, available only in ‘ID.’ trim, is the new entry-level offer for the ID.3 and starts at 33,990 euros, including the ecological bonus.

It comes standard with essential equipment: a 12.9’’ central screen with wireless App-Connect function, ‘Keyless Go’ keyless start, adaptive cruise control and ‘Lane Assist’ lane-keeping assistance, parking sensors ‘Park Pilot’ at the front and rear, and LED headlights. The ID.3 Pure offers a charging power of 7.2 kW in AC (alternating current) and 145 kW in DC (direct current). Its range can reach 388 km (according to the WLTP cycle).
