Two versions of the Tesla Model Y “Juniper” will be immediately available at launch, with the iconic Rear-Wheel Drive and the Long Range All-Wheel Drive. More disappointingly, the maximum charging power remains unchanged at 170 kW for the Rear-Wheel Drive and 250 kW for the Long Range All-Wheel Drive.

Tesla even announces a range of 719 km for the Long Range All-Wheel Drive… but based on the Chinese CLTC cycle. Oh, what a false hope. It is very unlikely that the Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive will reach that symbolic 700 km mark on a single charge, but 650 km will surely be achieved, setting a new benchmark for a mass-market vehicle around 50,000 euros.
