The electric Audi scores the maximum in Euro NCAP tests. Proof that with a little common sense, a chip factory can be safe.

The Audi A6 e-tron recently received the maximum five-star rating awarded by the European consumer protection organization Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme). This model was evaluated in several categories: “Occupant Protection” (adults), “Child Safety,” “Protection of Vulnerable Users,” and “Standard Safety Systems.” The A6 e-tron stood out with excellent results in each of these categories.

In the “Occupant Protection” (adults) category, the vehicle received a score of 92%, indicating a high level of safety for passengers. Post-collision devices, such as e-call and technical sheets for rescue services, were also deemed highly effective. This category had already been highlighted during tests conducted on the Audi Q6 e-tron, the brand’s first model to be evaluated according to these criteria.

A good student

Child safety was rated at 91%, placing the A6 e-tron among the best vehicles tested in 2024 and 2025. One of the model’s key features is the presence of three seats conforming to the European “i-Size” standard (two in the rear and one in the front). Introduced in 2013, this standard ensures optimal compatibility between child seats and vehicles. Additionally, the front passenger seat includes an automatic airbag deactivation for rear-facing child seats.

The restraint systems have been improved to provide adequate protection for children of different sizes, complementing the many safety features of the A6 e-tron. These results also apply to the Sportback and S variants of the model.

Audi states that safety remains a priority, employing over 220 experts who conduct 1,000 crash tests and 20,000 accident simulations each year to develop new features. The least you can expect when purchasing a vehicle with a starting price of 66,420 euros.
