No Joking Around at Ford: €20,000 Off the Amazing Bronco!

The quintessential American SUV, and highly desired in France for its eccentricity, the Ford Bronco is unfortunately out of step with its time.

And -20,000 euros which lead to 40,000 euros… in ecological penalties. Let’s get straight to the point: the first challenge, almost insurmountable for the Ford Bronco in France, is its registration tax. With its friendly but very polluting 2.7-liter V6 supercharged engine producing 335 horsepower, it emits a maximum amount of CO2, which requires it to pay 60,000 euros in ecological penalties, to be added, of course, to its sale price.

In France, its public price is 76,500 euros on the catalog. Let’s commend Ford‘s initiative to import it, just like the Mustang, which also benefits from nice discounts… while clearing out stocks. Then everything suggests that it will be “stop.”

However, with an immediate discount of 20,000 euros, bringing its price down to 56,500 euros, once the penalty is factored in, the bill rises to 116,500 euros. But don’t see everything in a negative light: since the maximum penalty cap of 60,000 euros has been reached, the French State spares you the Weight Penalty, which would amount to 13,750 euros in 2024 due to the weight of 2,294 kg!

Still, to afford a Ford SUV, with a very American finish, over 110,000 euros, one really has to be a fan of the brand. Especially when you know that the Bronco is very popular across the Atlantic where its entry price, in the same trim as in France (long chassis), starts at 34,890 dollars excluding taxes, which is about 38,400 euros when applying French VAT!

The Ford Bronco, as friendly as it may be, will remain a unicorn in France, waiting for an electric version, and that is the direction of history, will arrive one day. Patience.
