Goodies at Bentley

The 24 lucky European owners of a Bentley Continental GT Le Mans will receive lots of lovely little gifts with their car.

The GT Le Mans tribute series celebrates Bentley’s 20th anniversary of its sixth victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It’s actually been 20 years this year since Bentley last won the iconic race, with the Speed 8 driven by Guy Smith, Tom Kristensen, and Rinaldo Capello. It was even a double victory, as Johnny Herbert, Mark Blundell, and David Brabham finished second with the other green prototype.

A Mancunian Valve in Bentley

Instead of the standard central dial, there is a display window showing a valve from the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine of the Bentley Speed 8 that won at Le Mans in 2003. The engine was removed after the race and preserved, and now 24 of the 32 engine valves have been cut in half to create 48 artifacts for this exclusive collection of ultimate Grand Tourers. And that’s classy! A six-crown laurel emblem embedded in the carbon fiber dashboard recalls each of Bentley’s six wins in Le Mans between 1924 and 2003. Finally, the standard 12-hour analog clock is replaced with a custom-made 24-hour timekeeper.

Luxury and Sport

All lucky owners will also receive a custom protective cover and a special wooden presentation case in the car’s colors, namely Piano Black and Verdant. This case contains, besides the car key—which can always come in handy—an exclusive sculpture of the Speed 8 and a book recounting the victorious journey of 2003.

More than large percentage promotions, Bentley’s client loyalty is primarily built through some small attentions.
