Citroën today unveils the first images of the Citroën Basalt Vision, a new concept of a compact SUV Coupé that will join the brand’s lineup in India and South America in the second half of 2024. 

The final rendering is an appealing concept of a very compact SUV Coupé. It will be the first model in these territories to borrow attributes from various automotive codes. With its SUV character, it expresses modernity, robustness, and a reassuring aspect, relying on a raised ground clearance, a high hood, a vertical front end, widened fenders, and protected wheel arches. Its coupe-like rear silhouette gives it fluidity and dynamism.

Ready to Face Degraded Roads

The Citroën Basalt Vision is an SUV Coupé that offers all the advantages of a 5-door sedan. The raised ground clearance facilitates getting in and out of a vehicle that offers space both in the front and the rear. Combined with protective bumpers at the front and rear and side protections, it promotes a feeling of safety for confidently navigating in difficult and degraded driving conditions. Like the C3 and C3 Aircross, it is based on the Smart Car platform specifically configured to meet the needs of customers in these Indian and South American markets.
