Camping in Merco, are you interested?
The new Mercedes V Class Marco Polo, available for order since January, will soon be arriving at dealerships.
Its new name “V Class Marco Polo” links it to its twin, the V Class, a benchmark for large vans, taxis, and other VIP shuttles. This chic and versatile Mercedes offers a tailor-made van life experience that is increasingly luxurious. It aligns with the new strategy of Mercedes-Benz Vans, which aims to provide customers with the most desirable vehicles (commercial and derived) and services.

Derived from the V Class, the new V Class Marco Polo thus leans towards the notion of luxury, while the Vito vans take a more premium-focused approach. The starry camper van is therefore tailor-made for the booming luxury camping market, known as “glamping.” To prove this high-end positioning, the AMG Line design package is available as an option.
A true Mercedes
Inside, the driver is welcomed by a completely redesigned dashboard with two large 12.3-inch screens. The new central console supports wireless smartphone charging as an option. Among the comfort options are also the heated steering wheel and the optional dimmable rear lighting for night driving. The ambient lighting, which is now featured for the first time in the rear sliding door of the camper van, offers an even more personalized light ambiance with 64 new colors. Another novelty is the augmented reality navigation. Like on the passenger car range, a camera records the environment ahead of the vehicle. The road is displayed live on the central screen and integrates virtual objects: traffic signs, directions to take, street names, etc. All these elements help simplify navigation.

Available as an option like on the new V Class and EQV, the new Parking Package with a 360° camera with panoramic and 3D view allows for practical and quick parking. It features a rear cross-traffic alert, emergency braking when pedestrians are detected, and collision prevention assistance when starting.
Chic Camping
Finally, the new V Class Marco Polo becomes a true smart home on wheels thanks to the Mercedes-Benz Advanced Control (MBAC). Many camping functions can be controlled centrally and intuitively via the dashboard screen or smartphone app. The MBAC module also includes a comprehensive warning and reporting system (checking levels of wastewater, drinking water, etc.), so the user knows at any time if their vehicle is ready to go.
The proven living space concept of the new V Class Marco Polo remains unchanged. The camper van can still accommodate up to four people and comes standard with, among other features, a pop-up roof with a roof bed (2.05 x 1.13 m), an electrically convertible bench seat into a double bed (2.03 x 1.13 m), a folding table, a fully equipped kitchen, and a wardrobe.
