Aston Martin Unveils the World's Most Powerful Front-Engine Convertible

Aston Martin unveils the new Vanquish Volante, a front-engine convertible that redefines standards in terms of performance and design.

True jewel of the range, this Aston Martin convertible celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Volante lineage while integrating the latest technological advancements. At the heart of the Vanquish Volante is a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, producing 835 horsepower and an impressive 1000 Nm of torque available from 2500 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox, mounted on the rear axle for optimal weight distribution. This system includes an electronic differential capable of switching from 0% to 100% lock-up in just 135 milliseconds, enhancing stability and agility in turns. All of this enables a top speed of 345 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds.

The bonded aluminum structure has been reinforced to offer a 75% increase in torsional rigidity compared to the previous convertible model. The chassis is equipped with Bilstein DTX dampers offering three driving modes: GT, Sport, and Sport+. The suspension has been specifically tuned to compensate for the stresses of the retractable roof, while carbon-ceramic brakes reduce weight by 27 kg and ensure this Aston Martin’s exceptional endurance even at high performance.

The K-fold roof, foldable in just 14 seconds, is a major advancement. Its thermal and acoustic insulation is comparable to that of the coupe, and it folds back to only 260 mm, preserving the vehicle’s sleek lines. The new Pirelli P ZERO tires, custom-designed, ensure optimal grip in all conditions.

The interior combines technology and craftsmanship with a 10.25-inch central touchscreen, a configurable digital dashboard, and a Bowers & Wilkins audio system with 15 speakers hidden behind the finest leather and wood trims.
