Alpine A110 R Ultime: up to €330,000... excluding penalties

Alpine pays one last tribute to its A110 coupe with a completely insane version produced in 110 units sold for 265,000 euros.

There will probably be no more pure and crazy modern Alpine cars than this A110 R Ultime in the brand’s history. The last iteration to feature a combustion engine, it deserves to be commemorated, as it is through this car that the Dieppe manufacturer has risen from its ashes for nearly 10 years.

Of course, the amount on the invoice will make you smile – 265,000 euros, which is four times the price of the entry-level version – but when you love… Only 110 lucky individuals will be able to take ownership, and let’s bet that all the units will eventually sell out fairly quickly, given the positive reviews since the A110’s debut.

345 turbo horsepower

Benefiting from new learnings drawn from competition (circuit, rally, hill climb), the A110 has a true mechanical track record. Thus, the Alpine engineers managed to boost the power of its 1.8-liter 4-cylinder unit to 345 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque… using fuel with an octane rating of 102, compared to 98 available on the market. A fine performance that allows the A110 R Ultime to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds.

The power-to-weight ratio remains at 3.2 kg/horsepower. Turbo (turbine and compressor), dual-clutch transmission, Akrapovic titanium exhaust, adjustable Öhlins dampers, and 330 mm AP Racing brakes are just some of the technical innovations. The same goes for aerodynamics with increased downforce of 160 kg at high speeds compared to the A110 R Turini. Alpine actually considers this R Ultime to be merely a race car approved for road use.

“La Bleue” version at 330,000 euros!

For even more exclusivity, Alpine will market an aesthetic configuration called “La Bleue” limited to 15 units. The color will blend various shades of blue, the gradient designed to inspire the idea of speed. Inside, the customization is also even more refined. But at more than three hundred thousand euros, we enter the realm of the world’s most exclusive supercars. Will Alpine fit in here? Formula 1 or not, it’s hard to join this club without risking a painful experience.
