The brilliant Alpine A110 offers one last lap before the electric revolution scheduled for 2026.

This marks the end of an era in Dieppe. Alpine has just announced the production of the final 1,750 units of its second-generation iconic A110, including only about fifty A110 R 70s. The French sports car, assembled at the Alpine Jean Rédélé Factory, will cease production in mid-2026, closing a significant chapter for the brand with the “A arrow”.

A French Legend Nearing the Finish Line

Born in 1962 from Jean Rédélé’s vision, the Alpine A110 has always embodied the brand’s DNA: lightness, agility, and mechanical passion. Becoming a legendary icon in the 1970s thanks to its World Championship rally title in 1973, it symbolizes French sporting expertise.

Its return in 2017 reignited the passion: faithful to its original spirit, the modern A110 has attracted a cult following among connoisseurs and driving purists. Without following trends, its sales remained strong until the end of its commercial career, making it a rare find in the thermic coupe segment. Nearly 30,000 units have left the Dieppe lines, setting a record for Alpine.

Final Alpine Models Before the Electric Shift

These last A110s mark the transition to the electric age. Alpine is indeed preparing a new zero-emission coupe, the first based on the internally developed APP platform for the brand’s high-performance models. An ambitious project aimed at redefining French electric sportsmanship, following the upcoming A290 and A390 models.

But before turning the page, collectors can still acquire one of the three variants currently available:

. A110 : Equipped with a 252 hp engine, the entry-level A110 remains true to its original philosophy. It features 18″ Sérac black diamond wheels, anthracite Brembo brakes, and Sabelt bucket seats with leather/microfiber upholstery.
. A110 GTS : Replacing the GT and S versions, the GTS combines the sporty chassis of the A110 S with the 300 hp of the 1.8 turbo engine. It offers effective circuit performance and daily comfort. An optional GTS Aero kit derived from the A110 R improves stability. The interior combines GTS gray leather and carbon finishes for a refined and technical ambiance.
. A110 R 70 : Limited to 770 units, this special series celebrates the 70 years of Alpine. A true showcase of Dieppe’s craftsmanship, the A110 R 70 features multiple carbon elements — from the hood to the wing and wheels. Its 300 hp engine and sharpened chassis promise a radical experience. Each unit displays a commemorative logo and a numbered plaque emphasizing its exclusivity.

By ending the production of this A110, Alpine is about to close a foundational chapter before entering a new electric era. The Dieppe brand will not abandon its core values: driving pleasure, lightness, and artisanal excellence. Its successor will now have the challenging task of carrying on this legend in uncharted territory: zero-emission sportiness.
