All new Peugeots now come with an 8-year warranty

Peugeot expands its Allure Care warranty program to all new models, including thermal and hybrid vehicles.

To reassure its electric customers, Peugeot had the excellent idea of implementing Allure Care. This program covers the electric motor, charger, transmission, and key electrical and mechanical components for up to 8 years or 160,000 kilometers. It complements the specific Peugeot warranty that already applies to the high-voltage battery to provide full vehicle coverage.

However, Peugeot does not sell only electric vehicles, far from it! Thus, there’s surely a bit of tension emerging among buyers of thermal and hybrid cars who may feel disoriented not seeing their beautiful new cars guaranteed for as long. Amidst the PureTech bashing, this seemed a bit off. Or perhaps, against all odds, the electric cars from the lion brand are more reliable than their internal combustion engine counterparts? Communication is a highly complex and cruel science.

Peugeot forced to level up

No more favoritism now. Starting in September, as part of a special limited-time offer, this warranty will also be offered on all vehicles in the Peugeot range, including thermal and hybrid engines. Why it’s limited in time is a mystery, but at least all vehicles are on an equal footing. The coverage is extended to up to 8 years or 160,000 km on the key components of all vehicles, whether electric, thermal, or hybrid.

In practice, you have nothing to do. For every service carried out in the Peugeot network, the warranty is automatically extended until the next service, which is every year for thermal and hybrid engines, or every 2 years for electric vehicles, or until the expected mileage threshold for the engine.
