Alfa Romeo Promises a More Exciting Year in 2025

2025 marks a new attempt for Alfa Romeo to rekindle its flame and image with the special edition Intensa.

This limited edition Alfa Romeo will be offered on the Stelvio, Giulia, Tonale models, and later on the small SUV Junior. The Milanese brand, Alfa Romeo, thus seeks to reconnect with a bold and sporty identity, which had somewhat faded in recent years.

The Intensa edition stands out for its aesthetics. Two-tone wheels, golden accents, and iconic colors like Alfa Red or Montreal Green add a dynamic touch to the models with the cloverleaf badge. Inside, Alcantara and contrasting stitching offer refinement, but without revolutionizing the user experience already familiar from Alfa Romeo.

In terms of equipment, Alfa Romeo focuses on updating driving assistance systems. While these technologies meet current standards, they lack the sporty soul that used to characterize the brand, like the famous DNA system. Enthusiasts seeking thrills may be left wanting, as priorities seem to lean more towards comfort than dynamism.

Proof of this, the Intensa range offers hybrid, gasoline, and… diesel engines. For intensity, it’s a miss! At the top, the hybrid delivers up to 280 horsepower for the Tonale and Giulia. But these performances, while respectable, are less impressive compared to premium competitors. Alfa Romeo, once synonymous with performance and emotion, now appears content with compromises rather than pursuing daring sporty ambitions, despite the promising Veloce trims.

With this Intensa series, Alfa Romeo relies on its heritage and Italian design to charm. However, the lack of a true sporty strategy leaves a sense of incompleteness. While the brand celebrates its past, we can only hope that in the coming years it strives to regain the authenticity and intensity that it currently lacks.
