A special series Peugeot 24 Hours of Le Mans in preparation

On the occasion of the centenary of its first participation at Le Mans, Peugeot announces a special series inspired by the most famous endurance race in the world.

Peugeot and the Automobile Club de l’Ouest have formalized an unprecedented partnership that will give rise to a special series called “Peugeot 24 Heures du Mans.” This initiative aims to celebrate the historical ties that unite the French manufacturer with the Sarthe race.

The history between Peugeot and the 24 Hours of Le Mans dates back to 1926, just three years after the race was created. A century later, the lion brand remains present at the highest level of endurance with its Hypercar program and its two Peugeot 9X8s participating in the FIA WEC World Endurance Championship.

More Aesthetic than Sporty

The upcoming special series Peugeot 24 Heures du Mans will be offered on several models from the manufacturer’s range: the 208, 308, 408, 3008, and 5008. Details regarding the engines, equipment, and technical specifications have not yet been revealed. Peugeot indicates that this information will be communicated at the time of the commercial launch, scheduled for the 2027 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

This edition will be based on the GT trim and will feature a specific presentation. Peugeot announces a visual identity that combines a deep black with touches of blue inspired by the graphic world of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The brand also promises an enriched equipment level as well as a dedicated finish.

Beyond this special series, this partnership highlights Peugeot’s sporting heritage. The manufacturer claims a presence in motorsport since the Paris-Rouen race of 1894 and has three overall victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans thanks to the Peugeot 905 in 1992 and 1993, and the Peugeot 908 in 2009.
