BYD Dolphin Surf: Already a €3,800 Discount!

Barely improved, the BYD Dolphin Surf is priced at €20,690 in its new five-seat version. This promotion makes this small electric vehicle more appealing, provided you choose its version wisely.

One extra seat and a lower price tag: BYD supports the evolution of its Dolphin Surf with a commercial argument that’s hard to ignore. In October, the five-seat Boost trim drops from €24,490 to €20,690, thanks to a rebate of €3,800. This represents about 15.5% off the list price. The manufacturer refers to this discount as the “BYD Bonus”: it is indeed a commercial advantage announced by the brand.

The Comfort trim also receives a boost, but a less generous one: €2,800 off, bringing the price down from €26,490 to €23,690. The difference between the two versions thus reaches €3,000 after the discount. Enough to think twice before ticking the high-end option.

A fifth seat that matters

The most useful change is found behind the front seats. The Dolphin Surf now accommodates a third passenger in the rear, complete with its own headrest. This welcome evolution helps to transport children or ensure that no one is left behind in a small car.

The Boost retains a 43.2 kWh battery and claims up to 322 kilometers of combined range. It also gains a heated steering wheel and heated seats. The Comfort adds notably a 12.8-inch central screen with integrated Google.

One essential detail at the time of signing: the older four-seat Dolphin Surf models are still available from stock. Therefore, a precise comparison of configurations is necessary, not just the price tags.

The offer announced by BYD for the five-seat Dolphin Surf applies to the month of October. At this price, the Boost deserves attention: its larger discount enhances its appeal compared to the Comfort, especially for those who prioritize budget over screens.
