Suzuki Across: 127 km on electric power and €6,000 discount at launch

The new Suzuki Across plug-in hybrid arrives in France with 309 hp, up to 127 km of electric range, and a starting price of €49,150.

Suzuki is keen to make its new large SUV stand out. For its second generation, the Across combines increased electric range, faster recharging, and generous equipment. Its MSRP of €55,150 drops to €49,150 thanks to a launch discount of €6,000.

Measuring 4.62 meters long, the Suzuki Across asserts its character with an imposing black grille, a sculpted hood, and a new light signature. But its main draw is hidden beneath this body: a 22.7 kWh battery allowing for a range of up to 127 km in electric mode, according to the manufacturer.

Suzuki Across: 309 hp and a recharge in 28 minutes

The plug-in hybrid powertrain combines a 2.5-liter gasoline engine with two electric motors, for a combined power of 309 hp. The E-Four all-wheel drive completes this configuration. In everyday use, the claimed range allows for many trips without using gasoline, provided the vehicle is charged regularly.

On a compatible charging station, the onboard charger of 11 kW allows going from 10 to 100% in 2 hours and 30 minutes. The Across now also supports fast DC charging of up to 50 kW. Suzuki then promises just 28 minutes for the same task.

A well-equipped plug-in hybrid SUV at €49,150

The single Style trim includes a panoramic sunroof, head-up display, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.9-inch touchscreen. 360° cameras, matrix headlights, heated electric front seats, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are also included.

Physical controls are retained, and the trunk offers 446 liters of space. Metallic paint is included, while Suzuki announces a warranty of up to ten years or 200,000 km.
