Rimac Nevera and Europa-Park: Three Years of a Completely Crazy Marriage

An electric hypercar, roller coasters, and a piece of Croatia in Germany: Rimac and Europa-Park celebrate three years of a collaboration that no one really saw coming.

On paper, the partnership wasn’t obvious. Rimac manufactures some of the fastest electric hypercars in the world, while Europa-Park generally prefers to accelerate its visitors without letting them take the wheel. Yet, the story between the two has lasted three years now.

To celebrate this anniversary, Rimac and the famous German amusement park have brought together their two stars in a new video: the Rimac Nevera and the Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac, a spectacular roller coaster inaugurated in 2024.

We already told you on Mobiwisy about the birth of these Rimac roller coasters at Europa-Park. Two years after their opening, they have become one of the park’s iconic attractions.

Rimac’s Tribute to Tesla

And to understand the connection with Rimac, just look at the specifications. The Voltron Nevera measures 1,385 meters, reaches 100 km/h, and features four catapult-style accelerations, including one in reverse. Its inclined start at 105 degrees is particularly spectacular, as are its seven inversions and its 2.2 seconds of sustained weightlessness.

By comparison, the actual Rimac Nevera could almost pass for a reasonable mode of transport. Almost. The Croatian hypercar with four electric motors has also built its reputation on accelerations capable of seriously stressing the necks. However, there is a significant advantage: its driver can ease off the pedal.

This collaboration also serves as a gigantic showcase for Croatia. The section of Europa-Park that hosts the attraction is inspired by Hvar, incorporates natural limestone, and even features an 800-year-old olive tree. The story of Voltron Nevera also pays tribute to Nikola Tesla, one of Mate Rimac’s major inspirations.

Ultimately, Rimac and Europa-Park had more in common than one could have imagined: a passion for technology, Croatia, and above all a certain obsession with acceleration.
