BMW Celebrates the Tourist Trophy with a Very Special M 1000

On the occasion of the 115th edition of the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy, BMW Motorrad unveils a special series.

Produced in only 115 copies and based on the M 1000 RR M Competition, this BMW M 1000 RR Limited Edition Isle of Man TT pays tribute to one of the most prestigious and demanding motorcycle races in the world.

Created in 1907, the Tourist Trophy (TT) takes place on the famous Snaefell Mountain Course, a road course of over 60 kilometers winding through villages, country roads, and mountain passes. Unlike competitions held on permanent circuits, the TT takes place on roads open to traffic for the rest of the year. This uniqueness, combined with the high speed of the motorcycles and the proximity of obstacles, makes it one of the most spectacular events in motorcycle sport.

The TT is also renowned for its high level of demand. Riders must memorize several hundred turns and deal with often changing weather conditions. This combination of speed, technicality, and risk has contributed to the legend of the race for over a century.

The Madmen of the Isle of Man!

BMW has a historical link to the event. As early as 1939, the German Georg Meier won the Senior TT riding a supercharged BMW. More recently, the BMW S 1000 RR and M 1000 RR have made a mark on the Mountain Course thanks to riders like Michael Dunlop, Peter Hickman, and Davey Todd. In 2023, Hickman even set the absolute circuit record with a lap averaging over 219 km/h.

The new M 1000 RR Limited Edition Isle of Man TT carries this rich history through an exclusive British Racing Green decoration, visual references to the Mountain Course, and individual numbering. A model aimed at brand enthusiasts as well as collectors, celebrating the unique legacy of a race that has become a true institution in motorcycle sport.
