Citroën financially supports caregivers

Citroën offers 1,000 annual kilometers of exemption to the 11 million caregivers in France to ease their mobility costs.

This is a first in the automotive sector. While leasing (LOA/LLD) is becoming the preferred financing method for the French, its mileage rigidity often turns into a financial burden. Citroën changes the game by launching “Les Kilomètres Solidaires,” a social initiative aimed at supporting caregivers.

In France, these drivers travel an average of 4,000 kilometers per year to assist a dependent parent or spouse. Until now, every detour for a medical emergency or a nearby errand risked turning into an excess mileage penalty upon returning the vehicle.

A 1,000 km exemption against double punishment

To correct this injustice, the brand with the chevrons establishes a tolerance of 1,000 kilometers per year without additional fees. This exemption transforms a commercial contract into a genuine support tool.

This initiative, open until December 31, 2026, certainly deserves to be highlighted. By addressing the real needs of the 11 million French caregivers, Citroën is, of course, enhancing its image, but few manufacturers are close to social concerns.
