Geopost Vision

Geopost Vision and Nextbase have announced a strategic partnership aimed at transforming mapping and smart mobility in Europe.

The two companies are jointly showcasing their innovations at the CES 2026 in Las Vegas, with a clear ambition to leverage delivery fleets as a major source of high-frequency road data.

Geopost Vision, a new entity of Geopost, harnesses the unique potential of its vast parcel delivery network. Through this collaboration, Nextbase iQ connected cameras are now deployed on vehicles from several brands within the group, including DPD, SEUR, BRT, and Chronopost. This equipment passively collects street images on a large scale while strictly adhering to GDPR regulations through advanced anonymization and data processing techniques.

A quick European expansion

Already operational in ten European countries – including France, Spain, Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands – the partnership plans to expand to twenty countries by mid-2026. The goal is to create one of the most comprehensive and frequently updated road image databases on the continent, covering both urban and rural areas.

On the technological front, the vehicles are equipped with devices capable of capturing images up to 4K, with a field of view of 126°, combined with high-precision GPS and inertial data. This information is transmitted via Geopost Vision’s cloud infrastructure and APIs, providing actionable data to stakeholders in mapping, automotive, infrastructure, and smart cities.
